Welcome to my new blog!

I will be using this blog on a regular basis to keep friends and family updated - whether I am traveling doing missions, or home working on the administration end of the orphanage and coordinating missions trips.  Keep checking back for regular updates!  They'll become more regular in the new year.  I hope to have more photos and videos up soon!

Thanks for coming - take a look around!

Merry Christmas!

This year has really flown by, it's hard to believe in just a few short weeks we will be celebrating a new year!  I hope you and your families have a wonderful holiday as you celebrate the birth of Christ and spend time with family and friends.

God Bless you!

Guatemala November 2008

A small group of us from Third Day Mission's arrived back from Guatemala December 1st. We had a great time with FeViva, learning about Casa Esperanza (an Orphanage), and looking at land for Third Day's new Orphanage in Villa Nueva! Please pray along with me as we begin strategizing and planning to open an Orphanage sometime next year. We are so excited to be partnering with Pastor Roberto Maralis, Senior Pastor of Iglesia El Shaddai in Villa Nueva, Guatemala.
We have a promo dvd completed from the trip, which includes a tour of the building that we hope to be the Orphanage. I will post the DVD as soon as the land is secured. Thank you for your prayers as we begin this project!

Brazil M3 Outreach (July 16-August 11, 2008)

What an awesome opportunity it was to spend a month this summer working on houses and ministering in Brazil! I loved the culture there, and although the rainy season gave us some challenges, all in all it was an amazing experience, and I learned so much.

It was very evident that these two houses weren't doing the job. I watched a fellow team mate of mine fall through the floor (she was okay, only a bit bruised) of house number 1.

It was with a heavy heart we left, especially when the children from these two houses came to say goodbye with tears streaming down their sweet faces. I pray that all is well with them, and hope that someday I can visit them again. They hold a special place in my heart. I can picture them early on the job site, watching us and asking if we have anymore "purollitos" (lollipops).
